AMC Certification

4-WEEK PROGRAM

Dr. Nedungadi’s Ayurvedic Centre, Chennai, India ( www.drnac.in ) in association with Kadaleevanam Yoga Academy, Kodakkad, Kasaragod, Kerala, India will be conducting Ayurveda Programs in the premises in Kodakkad, Kerala, India.

Ayurveda Massage Course ( AMC ) is a 4-week intense, structured program designed to provide learners with a good foundation of key systems & concepts of Ayurveda, knowledge of Panchakarma (Elimination Therapy) and an introduction with hands-on experience to specialist Ayurvedic therapy/ treatment.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES

At the end of this program, participants/ learners will be able to

Understand philosophy of Ayurveda, concepts and branches of Ayurveda

  • 5 Elements (Panchabhoota), 3 Doshas (Tridosha), 7 Dhatus (Tissues)
  • Understanding and determining Prakriti (your Ayurvedic constitution)
  • Relevance of key concepts in relation to Modern medicine

Panchakarma – Elimination Theory

  • Basic Ayurvedic Skills on special treatments

    • Nasyam
    • Abhynga
    • Dhara
    • Pizhichal
    • Navara Kizhi
    • Podi Kizhi
  • Practice of Yoga and meditation

Arrival – Departure – Kodakkad, Kasaragod, Kerala, India

Donation (for international participants)

The donation mentioned here applies only to non-Indians and non-resident Indians.

– US$ 4500 per person – single accommodation.
– US$ 4000 per person – sharing double room
– US$ 3700 per person in Dormitory of 12 people

How to Register?

  1. Please email Dr. NAC Foundation to register. Please send the completed application form (downloadable from the website or sent by request from Dr. NAC Foundation to ayurkingdr@gmail.com)
  2. Once the filled up application is received, the instructions on how to pay the deposit will be sent to the applicant as well as how to pay the balance of course donation.
  3. Please make a deposit donation of US$ 300 to secure your place on the course.
  4. The balance of the course donation should be remitted one month before the course begins.
  5. Course donations are non-refundable, however any unused amount may be transferred, minus the deposit of US$300, to another course within one year of the original course starting date. Alternatively a credit note may be issued minus the administration fee. Credit notes are valid for one year from date of issue and can be used for any other courses/ programs or for anybody recommended by the depositor and also for boutique items or any other supplementary services.

Program – Group size and Selection

  • Admission to AMC program will be on first come first serve basis.
  • Please read course details as well as the course location information carefully before making a decision to register.
  • Total number of participants for any course is restricted to max of 30

Assessment and Certification

The students are continuously assessed throughout the course at all levels. Participant should pass all different aspects of the course to be eligible for the course certificate. There will be a written exam at the end of the course to evaluate the understanding of the philosophy of Yoga and skills of the students

Assessment is based on

  • Regular attendance of all classes
  • Attitude and behaviour inside and outside of the ashram while attending the course
  • Performance and attitude in the practical massage, Yoga classes
  • Written daily summary of the main theory classes
  • Written examination of 2.30 hrs on the theories of Ayurveda & massage.

Upon successful completion of the course students receive the Certificate of Dr. Nedungadi’s Ayurvedic Centre.

Attendance at all activities is mandatory.

  • Changes in the program may occur from time to time
  • There is one day off in a week. Students are required to attend morning and evening Satsang and one Yoga class. The rest of the day is free for their personal study and activities.
  • All the courses are taught in English, there is currently no translation facility available into any other language.
  • Students should plan latest to arrive on the arrival day and depart on the day of departure.
  • It is recommended that Participants spend at least a few days in the course location before the start of your course. This allows the body and mind to have a little time to rest, re-energise and be nourished by the ashram environment. Participants can then begin their study feeling relaxed and refreshed. Participants may also wish to stay for some days after the end of the course to allow the learning from the study to integrate more fully into your consciousness within the supportive environment of the ashram.
  • Students are also welcome to contact the ashram directly if they would like to stay on in the ashram after the course participating in the karma yoga program (volunteer staff program). The karma yoga program is an excellent way to deepen your experience and understanding of yoga teaching.
  • If one decides to arrive early and also to stay longer, please register for the course program for those additional days.

  • For all programs, guests are subject to the suggested donation in effect at the time of final payment.
  • To maintain the spiritual atmosphere we ask all ashram guests to comply with the ashram rules. Kindly refer to the Ashram rules and guidelines for more information.
  • The ashram reserves the right of admission and students may be asked to leave if their behaviour goes against the ashrams rules and teachings.
  • Participants to bring Casual comfortable clothes, yoga mat, meditation shawl, toiletries, notebooks, pens, slip-on sandals, Warm clothing for very cool nights & cool mornings/evenings and clothes for warm days, rainwear, flashlight, insect repellent, alarm clock, travel mug/tumbler, water bottle, sunscreen, etc
