Carrying the Legacy Forward

Dr. Sai Deepa Nedungadi

Dr. Sai Deepa Nedungadi is an Ayurveda physician, yoga teacher, and meditation guide who carries forward a distinguished lineage of traditional healing. A fourth-generation Ayurveda Vaidya, she serves as the Chief Physician at Dr. Nedungadi’s Ayurvedic Center (Dr. NAC) in Chennai, continuing a family tradition dedicated to the authentic practice of Ayurveda.

Her journey into the world of holistic health began early. At the age of 17, she became one of the youngest certified yoga teachers through the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre, Himalayas, an experience that deeply shaped her understanding of the profound connection between body, mind, and consciousness.

With over 15 years of clinical experience, Dr. Sai Deepa’s approach to healing extends beyond conventional treatment. Her work integrates classical Ayurveda medicine with yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and conscious lifestyle practices, reflecting Ayurveda’s timeless understanding that true health arises from harmony between body, mind and awareness.

While deeply rooted in the wisdom passed down through generations, Dr. Sai Deepa is committed to carrying the legacy of Ayurveda forward in her own distinctive way. She strives to present its principles in a form that is accessible, relevant, and meaningful to contemporary life—bridging traditional knowledge with modern scientific understanding and everyday wellbeing practices.

Her areas of focus include women’s health, preventive medicine, lifestyle disorders, and mind-body healing. Through her clinical practice, teaching, wellness retreats, and educational initiatives, she works to help individuals reconnect with their innate capacity for health and balance.

By honouring her lineage while embracing innovation and integration, Dr. Sai Deepa continues to nurture and expand the living tradition of Ayurveda for future generations.
